In this essay I will be primarily looking into Schopenhauer’s views on pessimism, explaining the impossibility of fulfillment (i.e., a happy, satisfied life) according to him and examining the bases of nihilism from Nietzsche’s point of view, underlining the illegitimacy of our determined values as well as the inhospitality of our world.
